LISTEN:  ‘A humdinger of a game’ says Denis Kelly after Tipperary clash with the Cats

Tipperary senior camogie team travelled down to the lions den on Saturday and escaped with a draw against a snarling Kilkenny team that looking to defend their All-Ireland crown.

The Karen Kennedy and Clodagh Quirke led crew produced a genuine display and got a draw from their trip east. Next up for Tipperary is Antrim next Saturday evening in Croke Park in the Quarter Final ahead of the senior hurling Semi Final clash between Limerick and Galway.

Tipperary manager Denis Kelly spoke to Geraldine Kinane after the game on Saturday last which was a tense encounter until the final whistle. The manager spoke of the importance of getting a result in their favour:

"A humdinger of a game all the way through. There wasn't an inch given or taken and we are just delighted to come out of it with something because we will be coming down maybe often enough and going home with one or two point defeats so it was important we got something out of it," the Toomevara native said.
