Host of artists set to take to the stage at Toales this week
Thursday 23rd July - Fireside Sessions presents CLARA BYRNE + Tadhg Hilliard - Show starts 9pm - Free admission.
Fireside Sessions returns to Toales on Thursday, July 23, with a free night of original music from Clara Byrne and Tadhg Hilliard.
Originally from Bray and now based in Dundalk, Byrne blends folk and alternative influences with thoughtful, socially conscious songwriting and warm, expressive vocals.
A BIMM Dublin graduate, she has performed in Ireland and abroad and has supported artists including Wallis Bird, Cathy Davey, Neil Hannon and Altan.
Her debut album, Handstitched, was released in 2022 and drew praise for its strong lyrics, darker folk atmosphere and distinctive vocal performances.
Opening the night is Dundalk songwriter Tadhg Hilliard, whose understated acoustic style and melodic original songs make him a natural fit for the intimate Fireside Sessions setting.
The weekly series continues to provide a platform for both established and emerging artists, with original music at the heart of every show, and as always admission is completely free!!

Black-and-white checks, brass hooks and enough energy to lift the roof — THE 2TONE KLUB bring their high-octane ska and mod revival show to Toales on Friday 24 July for what’s shaping up to be one of the sweatiest nights of the summer.
The band tear through the golden era of 2 Tone with classics from The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Selecter and more, delivering the kind of set built for packed dancefloors, bouncing crowds and pints flying at the chorus.
It’s a perfect fit for Toales — a room that thrives on loud weekends, sticky floors and proper live atmosphere, where the crowd are never shy about turning a gig into a full-blown party.
The Dundalk venue has quietly built a reputation for bringing in everything from rising original acts to cult tribute nights, always with that close-up, no-barriers feel that makes live music hit harder.

Two years of songs, stories and standout performances will be celebrated at Toales on Saturday, July 25, with a special evening showcasing the very best of the Fireside Sessions.
Since launching as a free weekly acoustic night, the Fireside Sessions has become a regular home for original songwriters, established performers and emerging local talent, all playing in the close-up, informal atmosphere that has made the series such a success.
This special Saturday night show will bring a selection of past favourites back together for a full evening of live music, with the final line-up to be announced soon.
For anyone who has supported the Thursday night sessions, or has been meaning to check them out, this is the perfect introduction to one of Dundalk’s most consistent showcases for original music.
