Calls for restoration works on Ardee's Main Street

Cllr Dolores Minogue has called for works after debris fell from building on to the street below
Louth County Councillor, Dolores Minogue has called for work to be carried out to restore the condition of buildings on Ardee's Main Street, following an incident at the weekend that saw debris falling from one on to the street below.
The Ardee councillor explained to the Dundalk Democrat that, “with the latest issue of falling debris from a building in Ardee, we now have three buildings on our main street either fenced off or with hoarding in place. For a town with just one main thoroughfare, it's clear that action is needed to restore the street to a better condition for traders, residents, and the general public.”
Calling for action to be taken to revitalise the mid-Louth town's main thoroughfare, Cllr Minogue added, “I will be seeking an urgent meeting with officials to prioritize Ardee Main Street and expedite solutions. People are already dealing with enough congestion while we wait for the bypass, but the sight of hoarding and fences dominating the main street is simply not acceptable.”
The Fine Gael councillor further added that, “while safety must always come first, these issues need to be addressed much more swiftly”, and that as a local councillor in Ardee, “I am committed to pushing for quicker action and ensuring our town is treated with the urgency it deserves”.
