The death has occurred of Michael Shields of Drive 1, Muirhevnamore, Dundalk, and formerly of Old Gardens, Chapel Street, Co Louth
On Saturday 20 January 2024, peacefully, in Sunhill Nursing Home, Termonfeckin. Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Annie, sister Josephine, brothers John and Francie.
Very deeply regretted by his loving family, sons Paul, Michael, Dean, Barry, Keith, Gerard and Andrew and their mother Dolores, brother Gerard, sister Kathleen, daughters in law Clodagh, Therese, Becky, Rachel and Ciara, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Shevlin's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Monday afternoon from 2pm to 8.30pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.40am (driving) to The Church of The Holy Family arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to The Stroke Unit, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

The death has occurred of William (Willie) Nugent of Coney Burrow, Dundalk Road, Dunleer, Co Louth
On 20 January 2024, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. William, loving husband to Carmel and dad to Christopher, Edel, Darren, Melanie and William.
He will be sadly missed by his wife and family, son-in-law Bernard, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Amie, Daniel, Ella, Kara, Clodagh, Lorcan, Killian, Darragh, Katie, Myanna, Logan, Willow, Michael and Lilly-Ann, brothers Joe and Con, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday from 3 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 o’clock in St. Brigid’s Church, Dunleer. Burial afterwards in Dromin Cemetery. House private on Wednesday morning.
The death has occurred of Br. Gabriel (George) Whyte of De La Salle Brothers, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co Laois and late of Castletown Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth
On January 21 2024, peacefully in the loving care of the Community and staff of Miguel House. Predeceased by his parents John and Alice, sisters Kitty (Cumiskey), Mave and Bredge, brother in law Harry, sister in law Brighid (McLoone).
Sadly missed by his brother Paddy, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, many relations and friends, his confreres and the staff in Miguel House Care Home.
Reposing in Miguel House Castletown this Tuesday from 11.00am with Prayer and Rosary at 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 2.15pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery, Castletown.
