Deaths in Dundalk - Thursday 22 May 2025

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lily) Flanagan (née Halpin) of Beechwood Drive, Dunleer, Co Louth and late of Woodtown, Co Meath

In her 92nd year, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in the Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, surrounded by her family. Lily, beloved wife of the late Oliver and loving mother of Anne, Paul, Joan, Desmond, Antoinette (Gibney), Neil and Colm. Predeceased by her parents James and Agnes (née Hanratty), brother Joe and sisters Maureen, Anna, Rosie and Kathleen. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughters, grandchildren Darren, Ciara, and Emma, son-in-law Jim, daughters-in-law Maeve and Jarjira, brother-in-law Joseph, sister-in-law Gretta, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday afternoon to Saint Brigid's Church, Dunleer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Dromin Cemetery. House private on Friday please.
