Dundalk court: Man threated to petrol bomb a house

A man who threatened to petrol bomb a member of staff's home, to put a brick through his car and 'get him after work' during a public order incident in Dealz, was fined €105 at Dundalk District Court last week.
The court heard Conor Brady, who had 56 previous convictions, began 'swinging' a crutch at the counter of the Earl Street premises on February 24th 2021.
Judge Eirinn McKiernan said it was completely unacceptable behaviour, she was dealing with the matter by way of a fine "purely on the basis of his condition and his difficulties".
The judge added that the only reason she was dealing with it like that was because of his attendance at the Turas counselling service.
