Dundalk Roads Policing Unit share details

Gardaí in Dundalk have seized a motorbike from a disqualified rider and say the rider will "face another day in court", after they were spotted on the road on the motorbike this week.

Sharing the details on Facebook, An Garda Síochána Louth said that "sometimes you just don't know who is watching. The rider of this motorcycle had been previously Disqualified from driving and yet continued to go out on the roads completely ignoring the court order."

"Their antics came to a sudden end yesterday when members of Dundalk Roads Policing Unit spotted them. A tactical plan was put in place to prevent a pursuit and the motorcycle was seized and the rider will face another day in court."

Warning disqualified drivers against driving on the roads, An Garda Síochána added, "Roads Policing and regular units have access to information about disqualified drivers in the local area so if you decide to defy a court order there is a high probability you will be stopped."
