The driver also had no insurance
Dundalk Roads Policing Unit were out in Greenore during the week performing checkpoints with the Road Safety Authority when they observed this VW Golf coming towards them "breaking land speed records."
The driver was stopped and it was found he was driving on a UK learner permit which is not valid here, along with having no insurance and testing positive for cannabis.
The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
