A 32 year old man who was verbally abusive towards paramedics and members of the public while he was being treated at the scene of a traffic collision, was placed under a bond at Dundalk district court last week to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for 12 months.

Leonard Ward with an address at Cois Cuain, Point Road, Dundalk was prosecuted for being intoxicated in a public place and using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour at Point Road, Dundalk on December 11th 2020.

The Defence solicitor told Judge Gerry Jones that his client is serving a sentence imposed by the Circuit Court with a release date in November and stressed that the offences before the court long pre-dated that and he had been under the impression that he had “dealt with everything”.
