Dundalk woman accused of threatening to kill another woman

A woman accused of making a threat to kill another woman before allegedly producing a knife and chasing her across a housing estate, is facing having her case heard at Dundalk Circuit Court.

27 year old Samantha Stokes with an address at Drive 1, Muirehevnamore is charged with making a threat to kill or cause serious harm, producing of a knife in the course of a dispute and causing criminal damage to property belonging to the same woman at Clontygora Court, Dundalk on May 16th last year.

The DPP had directed summary disposal on a guilty plea only.

After Judge Eirinn McKiernan refused jurisdiction, she remanded the defendant on continuing bail to December 7th for the directions of the DPP.
