Monastery NS Ardee hosted their annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday and Wednesday December 10th and 11th.
The staff, boys and girls of Monastery NS said they were delighted to once again perform their magical Christmas Concert for their school community in Ardee. Three performances took place including a matinee and two evening shows that allowed all
Monastery NS parents and guardians the opportunity to come and see their child perform on stage. The school was decorated and lit beautifully for the occasion and added a touch of magic to the evening shows.
Principal Jim McGee introduced the opening of the show performed by Monastery NS choir which was soon followed by “The Nativity” performed by Ms Weldon’s and Mrs Wooding’s Junior Infant boys and girls.
Then Mrs Marks and Ms Quinn’s Senior Infant boys and girls completed the First Act with a wonderful performance of “Christmas Cheer”.
The second act was performed by 1st to 6th classes and was one continuous show entitled “Countdown to Christmas”.
Monastery NS hard working Parents’ Association held a monster raffle and lots of parents did not go home empty handed!
Mr McGee concluded the Concert performances by thanking all local Ardee businesses for their support of our school and asked everyone to support them over the Christmas period. Photographs of Monastery NS Concert can be seen at www.monasterynsardee.ie/
