Final reminder for brown bread collections in Louth

Louth entries for the National Brown Bread Baking Championships
Organisers of the National Brown Bread Competition 2025 have issued a final reminder for those bakers that have spent the last few weeks perfecting their brown bread, saying that Louth entries for the National Brown Bread Baking Championships, sponsored by Euronics in association with the NPA and ICA, will be collected from Lally's Euronics, Centery Business Park Marshes Lower, Dundalk on Friday 25th July from 09:00am – 11:00am.
They add that no brown bread will be accepted after 11am.
Eight finalists will take to the brown bread stage at the National Ploughing Championships, taking place this year from 16 - 18 September, with one baker being crowned champion. A €5,000 cash prize and a NEFF Slide & Hide oven worth over €2,000 is up for grabs.
Additionally, the three runners-up will receive a €500 Euronics gift card each, and all other finalists will take home a €250 Euronics gift card and a Neff hamper.
Ireland’s passion for brown bread is legendary, with bakers across the country believing their recipe is the finest—whether due to a secret ingredient like honey, seeds, or even a splash of stout!
