Four caught speeding on Dundalk's Red Barns Road

Dundalk's Roads Policing Unit carried out a speed check on Red Barns Road last Friday night, detecting four motorists exceeding the 50km/h speed limit in a short time span.

The highest recorded speed was 82km/h. A worrying figure given the wet and cold road conditions, gardai say.

Gardai have stated that such speeds are unacceptable, particularly in adverse weather conditions, and prosecutions are set to follow.

Motorists are reminded to adhere to speed limits for their own safety and the safety of others on the road.
