Go ahead given for 62 new homes just outside Dundalk

Louth County Council grant conditional planning permission

Louth County Council have given the go ahead for a new housing development at Dublin Road and Chapel Road, Haggardstown, Dundalk.

Wonderglade Unlimited Company applied to Louth County Council in November 2022 for development at a site on the Dublin Road (R132) and Chapel Road - opposite the Fairways Hotel and to the east of Chapel Road.

The planned development, which originally consisted of 65 new dwellings but was reduced to 62, comprises 27 apartments and 35 houses.

Louth County Council requested further information on the planned development in December 2022, with significant further information provided to the local authority last month.

Included in the further information, were plans relating to a new vehicular access/egress from the Dublin Road(R132) to the

housing development in lieu of one from Chapel Road; a reduction in unit numbers from 65 to 62; revisions to apartments layouts including elevational amendments; and revisions to housing designs including provision of two new house types.

It also provided for a revised site layout to account for new vehicular access including revisions to landscape design, site levels, unit levels, infrastructure design & boundary treatments and all associated site development works.

Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission for the development to go ahead on 12 June 2023.
