Go ahead given for apart-hotel at Francis St in Dundalk

Louth County Council has granted planning permission

Louth County Council has given the go ahead for an apart-hotel at Francis Street in Dundalk.

Nera Investments Ltd applied to the local authority in January for planning permission for a development on lands at 23 and 24 Francis Street that would see the construction of a six-storey over basement mixed-use development.

The proposed development comprises 20 apart-hotel units, including ten, one-bed apart-hotel rooms and ten two-bed apart-hotel rooms; a reception area; linen closets; along with a ground floor office and a retail unit.

The application also provides for items including an internal community space; cycle storage; bin storage; and demolition of the existing office and retail buildings on the site.

Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission on 5 March for the development.
