KaceyD new album launch to take place in Dundalk next month

KaceyD release their new self-titled album on 2nd December. KaceyD aka Adrian Dolan and Karen Carroll are no strangers to the Irish music scene.

Adrian, an accomplished songwriter and producer, has written songs for his Uncle, Joe Dolan, while Karen has worked in Nashville, with Charley Pride and also Eurovision.

"I’m back doing what I started out doing in the music business, singing the songs I have written and playing bass", says Adrian.

"Karen and I have worked together as KaceyD for the past eight years, and we felt the time was right to release our first Album. We have worked on it for the past three years at The Bandroom Studios in Mullingar, a place where I worked many hours with the great Joe".

With 15 tracks in all, the album is a blended mix of country and pop, with original songs from Adrian and from Peter Callander, who wrote for Dusty Springfield and now for Karen.

There are reimagined cover versions of songs from singers who influenced Karen and Adrian, such as Dolly Parton, Pink, Springsteen, Bowie and Lady Antebellum, and also the duets that KaceyD are famous for at their live shows.

There is of course a nod to Joe, with Karen covering "It’s You, It’s You, It’s You", and Adrian includes his song "Ciara".

"I am very excited by this, our first album together as KaceyD, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it. I think we have found our KaceyD sound", says Karen.

The album will be launched with a KaceyD Christmas Party Night in Karen’s hometown Dundalk at The Lisdoo, on Sat 2 December. A full buffet, comedian and the KaceyD Show guarantees a great night. Tickets available from The Lisdoo, Dundalk.
