Louth charity event raise €16,000 for Ardee Hospice Homecare

Dromin Fundraisers raise €16,000 in aid of Ardee Hospice Homecare at cycle, walk or run charity event.
Dromin fundraisers raised €16,000 for Ardee Hospice Homecare in a cycle, walk or run charity event which took place on August 1st.
In the following weeks the sponsorship was still coming in so they decided to arrange a cheque presentation on September 4th for Ardee Hospice Homecare.
The event was originally organised for July 11th but was delayed due to Louth’s performance in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.
This proved to be the correct decision as the day was a huge success with Dromin Fundraisers Committee blown away by success of the event.
They said: “ The day was magical, the weather was favourable, the cyclists enjoyed a feeding station in Ardee courtesy of Julieann McCoy from the Fairgreen bar.
“As the miles cycled by the BBQ was sizzling amd everyone was fed delicious burgers or sausage baps amd the bar staff in The Village Saloon were getting ready for the celebrations to commence.
“We had a raffle in the beer garden once everyone returned and was fed, the raffle hosted wonderful prizes all donated from local businesses, our top prize was a beautiful brand new bike donated from Wheels and Heels Ardee, other prizes included hampers, socket sets and vouchers, it was brilliant.
“We are incredibly humbled by the kindness of every single person, every single business who donated, sponsored prizes and to all the fantastic people coming out to cycle, run or walk, so thank you all very kindly.”
