The 23-year-old Monaghan teacher was among five people killed in a collision near Dundalk last November

The family of the late Chloe McGee are organising a special night of music and dancing in her memory, with Chloe’s Country Special taking place at The Nurmore Estate, Carrickmacross, on Friday, November 6.

Chloe, aged just 23, tragically lost her life in a road traffic collision near Dundalk on November 15, 2025, alongside four of her friends, including her boyfriend Alan.

Described by her family as happy, caring and always up for the craic, Chloe had an infectious smile and a love of life. She loved spending time with family and friends, travelling, getting dressed up and, of course, dancing. She also loved her work as a teacher at O’Fiaich College in Dundalk.

The fundraising event promises a night of country music, dancing and entertainment, bringing together family, friends and the wider community to celebrate Chloe’s life and keep her memory alive.

The evening will feature live music, a jiving competition hosted by Jivin Country, while a raffle with more than 60 prizes will take place on Saturday, November 7.

All funds raised will be donated to charities close to Chloe’s heart, including Carrick Cancer Society, the special needs unit at the primary school attended by Chloe and her siblings, and other local charities.

Tickets will go on sale from October 6, with raffle tickets and donations also available through the fundraising arrangements advertised by the family.

The family are encouraging everyone to come along, enjoy a night of music and dancing, and help support these worthwhile causes.
