Louth Weather: Rain gradually extending northeastwards to most areas by late afternoon

A mostly dry and bright start with any showers confined to Atlantic coastal areas.

However, cloud will push into the southwest in the morning, gradually extending northeastwards to most areas by late afternoon.

This will be accompanied by outbreaks of rain and drizzle, remaining driest in parts of the east and southeast.

Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds, stronger on western coastal areas.

Sunday night: Wet and windy with widespread rain, heaviest over the western half of the country.

Mild with lowest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with fresh to strong southwesterly winds.
