Louth Weather: Rain sweeps north, heavy showers and thunderstorms expected later

Outbreaks of rain moving into northern parts for a time this morning.

Rain will clear northwards, meanwhile showers will spread from the south from late morning.

The showers will become more frequent and possibly heavy and thundery with hail during the afternoon but will clear away again in the evening.

Highest temperatures of 7 or 8 degrees with light to moderate breezes.

Scattered cloud and a few lingering isolated showers but some good clear spells developing later in the night.

Cool overnight too as winds fall light with lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees with a touch of frost possible.
