Windy with scattered showers, merging into longer spells of rain during the afternoon and spreading eastwards. Clearing to drier weather from the west during the evening.
Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees. Fresh south-east winds, strong about the south coast, easing and backing to south-west in the evening.
A very cold and calm night with frost and ice developing under clear skies.
Some freezing fog possible across Ulster and the Midlands too.
Showers wil move into southeast and east areas later, locally turning wintry. Lowest temperatures of -2 to + 2 degrees.
