Marshes Dundalk prepares a spectacular welcome for Santa

Dundalk’s Marshes Shopping Centre has lined up spectacular events for the arrival of Santa Claus on Friday 24 November, with free, family Christmas entertainment from 4.00pm.

A fire-eater, DJ and Christmas characters will all be present at Marshes to get everyone in the mood for Santa’s arrival in a blaze of fire on a Harley Davidson motorcycle as part of a pyrotechnic display.

And the following day, November 25, will mark the last Little Monsters kids’ club of 2023, when children can write their letters to Santa and engage in some seasonal craft making as well as festive dancing with Christmas characters.

Meanwhile, on each Saturday in December, Christmas Superheroes will be at the Centre for selfies. Prizes are on offer for customers who upload a selfie to their social channels and tag Marshes.

Separately, between now and Christmas, a €1,000 giveaway will be up for grabs at Marshes with in-store purchases.

And across three days in December, the centre will be filled with festive singing by students at local schools invited to take part in Marshes’ first ever Christmas School Choir Competition.

All performances will be recorded and uploaded onto the Marshes Shopping Centre Facebook page, and the public will be invited to vote for the winner by liking their favourite video. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 12.

“Marshes will be pulling out all the stops to help ensure this will be a Christmas to remember for customers and their families,” said Centre Manager, Sean Farrell.
