Mattress and couch amnesty takes place in Dundalk, Ardee and Drogheda this week
Anti-Dumping Initiative 2023
As part of the Anti-Dumping Initiative 2023, Louth County Council will be holding a Mattress and Couch Disposal Amnesty next week in Dundalk, Ardee and Drogheda.
In Dundalk it will take place at the V & W Civic Amenity Centre on the Newry Road from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Wednesday 30 August.
In Drogheda, it takes place at the V & W Civic Amenity Centre, Mell Road from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Wednesday 30 August.
In Ardee, it takes place on Thursday 31 August from 9.30am to 2.30pm at Kieran & McGee Ardee Livestock Sales Yard, Drumgoolestown, Ardee.
Mattress and couch disposal costs will be covered the Council. The normal Recycling Centre entry charge of €4 applies in Dundalk.
Mattresses must be clean and dry and there is a maximum limit of three items per vehicle. Other furniture items will not be accepted on the day. This is a service for domestic users only, Louth County Council says that commercial waste will not be accepted.
