New plans for apartments at former Queen's Hotel in Dundalk

Plans for change of use of two floors of the building

New plans are underway for apartments at the former Queen's Hotel at the junction of Earl Street and Crowe Street, Dundalk.

Queens Property Pal Limited has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the change of use of existing offices on the first and third floors to apartments.

The planned apartments comprise three, one-bed units and one, two-bed unit. The planning application also provides for associated site development works.

The building is listed as a Protected Structure, Ref. No. D199. Built in 1772, it is an eight-bay four-storey over basement with attic, remodelled c.1865.

A decision is due on the application by 19 June, with submissions due by 29 May.

This is the second planning application made this year in relation to this development. A previous application was made Queens Property Pal Limited in March but was deemed incomplete by the local planning authority.
