On Friday 16 June, Kilkerly came together as a parish community to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Priestly Ordination of Fr Brian MacRaois.
A mass was in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kilkerley which was followed by a meal and entertainment in Kilkerley Community Centre. Around 300 people attended the mass and the event in the community centre, an attendance which included Archbishop Eamon Martin, Bishop Michael Router, as well as a number of priests from the local community and parishes where Fr MacRaois worked in the past.
Recognising his Armagh roots, Fr MacRaois was presented with an Armagh GAA jersey signed by the Armagh team, on the night on behalf of the Kilkerley community.
