Significant further information provided to local planning authority

Plans are progressing for ten new homes in Blackrock with the provision of significant further information on the proposed development to Louth County Council.

MWAC Property Ltd applied to the local planning authority in May of last year for planning permission for ten detached dwelling units including alterations to existing site entrance, at Seafield Road in Blackrock.

Louth County Council requested further information on the proposed development in July 2021, which included a request to revisit the layout and give consideration to the provision of a seamless interface between the site and the adjoining open space in Rathmount.

Other requested information, included information in relation to pedestrian linkage between the proposed site and the adjacent pending (at the time) application site; provision of a home zone where priority would be given to pedestrians, children and residents, landscaping layout and design and positions of the two dwellings located closest to the Seafield Road entrance.

A decision on the application is now due by 27 January, with submissions due by 13 January 2023.
