Plans progress for expansion at Carrickdale Hotel in north Louth

Plans are progressing for an expansion of The Carrickdale Hotel, at Carrickcarnon, Dundalk, with further information provided to Louth County Council on a planned extension.

Carrickdale Enterprises Ltd applied for planning permission last October for a three storey extension at the well known north Louth hotel.

The applicant is seeking the go ahead for a three storey extension to the north side of the existing bedroom block, that would comprise 18 bedrooms, with six bedrooms on each floor.

The application also provides for a new emergency staircase; an extension to the south side of the existing bedroom block, comprising a new passenger lift and lift enclosure; and an extension of the retaining wall to the rear of the bedroom block to provide vehicular access to rear of building.

A decision is now due on the planning application by 12 February.
