Progress on Narrow Water Bridge in north Louth

Louth County Council is hoping to have a contractor on site by this time next year on the Narrow Water Bridge project, councillors were told at the Dundalk Municipal District June meeting.

Cllr Antóin Watter has sought an update on the cross border project, with Senior Engineer at Louth County Council, John O'Hagan, telling the meeting that the project was at tender stage.

Mr O'Hagan said that the local authority hoped to have tenders in by 6 October and, depending on government approval, to be on site by this time next year.
