Development planned for St Joseph's Monastery

St Joseph's Monastery in Dundalk has been given the go ahead by Louth County Council to install solar panels.

The Redemptorist Community applied to Louth County Council last November, for planning permission to install automatic and self clean solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to the flat roof of the existing external single storey standalone pergola located in the south lawn area of St Joseph's Monastery.

St Joseph's Monastery in Dundalk is a Protected Structure.

The development is being undertaken in order to facilitate the future long term use of the complex by the Redemptorist Community.

Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission for the development to go ahead on 8 January.
