Samaritans launch recruitment campaign in Drogheda

The campaign is calling on members of the public to volunteer with the service
Samaritans Drogheda and North East are calling on members of the public to volunteer for the service.
Samaritan volunteers provide service 365 days a year 24/7 to people experiencing distress, despair, or thoughts of suicide.
Margaret Fahey, Director of Drogheda Samaritans said, "Volunteering with
Samaritans is a meaningful way to make a real difference in our community. When someone calls 116123, it often means they have reached a point where they have nowhere else to turn. It is essential that we are there for them, without fear of judgement, offering a safe place for them to talk,” she said.
No previous experience is required to volunteer, full training and ongoing support are provided.
The next information/interview day takes place on February 7th in Leland Place in Drogheda.
