Top line-up of acts heading for Dundalk Gaol

Great line up of artists confirmed with more to be announced
A top line up of artists are heading for the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol over the coming year with many more to be announced soon according to the event organisers.
Coming up on 24 February, Slovakian violinist Vladimir Jablokov returns to the Oriel Centre where his performance will feature some of the most popular pieces in his repertoire including Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 5, Strauss Radetzky March, Theme from Schindlers list, If I Were a Rich Man and many more.
Cork natives, The Frank and Walters, favourites of Golden Globe winner and Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy, look forward to performing again in the Oriel Centre on Saturday 23 March. Expect to hear hits such as ‘After All’ and ‘Fashion crisis hits New York’ coupled with timeless classics like ‘How can I exist’ and ‘Landslide’.
Live performances from The Frank and Walters are always guaranteed to be a fun experience with Paul regaling the audience of tales of his conversations with Paul McCartney, how the band may have poisoned Noel Gallaghers goldfish by mistake and working with Ian Broudie of the Lightning Seeds and Edwyn Collins.
On The Road Again promises to be a fun evening of songs and stories as Fiachna Ó Braonáin of Hothouse Flowers, Tom Dunne of Something Happens & multi-instrumentalist Alan Connor hit the road again in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on Saturday 25 May.
Tom Dunne is no stranger to the Oriel Centre having performed there in the past with Something Happens, and more recently with Alan Connor, in all cases managing to leave the audience with sore throats from singing along with him and wiping the tears from their eyes with laughter, such is his talent for storytelling.
No stranger to the stages of Dundalk, singer/songwriter Mark Geary will make a very welcome visit to the Oriel Centre on Saturday 9 November.
With five studio and three live albums, touring and live performances are in Mark's lifeblood. Mark Geary has worked alongside with musicians as diverse as Glen Hansard, John Prine, Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Coldplay and The Frames plus extensive headlining tours in Europe, the US and Switzerland.
Renowned for his sold out shows in Whelan’s and further afield, this performance from Mark Geary in the Oriel Centre will be the ideal opportunity to experience the stripped back sounds of his lyrics in such an intimate venue.
So, if you would enjoy a night out in a venue which has housed patriots, paupers, volunteers, agitators, smugglers and petty thieves, whilst witnessing secret weddings, executions and daring escapes and now showcases some of Irelands most popular artists, then book tickets to these shows as soon as possible online at www.orielcentre.ie
