'Truly unique' musical show to be performed in Dundalk

A “truly unique” interactive experience will be performed in Dundalk this September.
Morag, You're a Long Time Deid, will be coming to An Táin Arts Centre on Thursday, September 12 at 8pm.
Sam, Morag’s Canadian granddaughter, inherits not only a piano but also the mystery of her Scottish granny’s queerness. This experimental musical playfully warps, disrupts and reconfigures traditional Scottish ballads to tell old stories anew.
This dynamic, heart-warming musical show, weaves together silenced family histories and reimagined traditional music - a love letter to ancestors who ‘didn’t fit’.
Speaking of the performance, Director of An Táin Arts Centre, Paul Hayes, said: “I’m really excited that Dundalk audiences get to experience this unique show that combines dance, music and theatre. We will be transforming our main theatre, cabaret style, to make the evening as immersive as possible.”
Produced by Claire Love Wilson & Peter Lorenz with An Tobar and Mull Theatre, the show is presented by the frank theatre With Funding Support from BC Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts & the Austrian Embassy in Dublin.
