WHEN IRISH EYES MEET YORKSHIRE SKIES

The story of my mother Roisin Conlan from Drumgor, County Monaghan, who left the family farm together with two of her sisters to seek work in the UK. This is the story of the Conlan family of Hillhead Farm, of my mothers romance with my Yorkshire born father, of my sister Eileen and myself who spent every summer holiday in Ireland on the farm. Of little towns called Ballybay, Dunleer and Latton. and neighbours called Duffy, McCabe, Lennon, Conlan and Conlon! The book has Irish humour, nostalgia, peat bogs, jaunting cars, fairy rings and soda bread. You may not remember the old days but have parents or relatives who do. Treat them to a taste of the 'old country' Please contact me on - [email protected] for details.
