A viewing for members of the public of a film called How Music Change My Life showcasing the musical tradition of the High School in Clonmel will be shown at the cinema in Clonmel on Saurday January 14 at 8pm.
Created by High School student Peadar Bradshaw, the documentary showcases the wonderful musical talent that continues to emerge from Clonmel.
Past pupils include Frank Patterson, Vincent Hanley and Micheál O' Súilleabháin and the documentary shows how music changed the lives of so many former High School students.
Last Sunday the film was shown for all t hose who were involved in the production of the documentary.
The film highlights the different paths past pupils have taken - such as Fergal Carroll, Lyric FM, Paul Walsh, Roy7, Bill Ahessy, music therapist, Joe Roche, opera singer, Fergal Carroll, Army Band conductor and Stewart Clooney, piano teacher.
Over 50 past pupils were interviewed and over 100 contributed to the performance element of the documentary.
What comes across very poignantly are the highs and lows of the music industry, the tradition of music in families, the many love stories and passion for living that emerged due to sharing a strong bond through music.
