Clare author debuting self-help book in local town

A JOURNAL to assist those who are terminally ill and their families is being launched in one Clare town by a Clare native.
Debut author Joanne Begley is releasing her self-help book ‘For After I’ve Gone: The Parents Edition’, which is described as a “heartfelt and touching” creation.
The journal is being launched on September 14 at 7:30pm at the Hope Cafe Shannon and is specifically designed to help those whose relatives have passed away due to illness.
Drawing inspiration from personal encounters, including a diagnosis of an incurable brain condition in 2018 and caring for a friend facing Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Joanne created a platform for recording feelings, insights, and personal anecdotes.
“Preparing for our departure from this world can offer solace and understanding to those we leave behind,” said author Joanne.
“This book is a vessel for all the unspoken words, a means to ensure that our legacies are preserved, and our love resonates eternally.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to two remarkable causes, MND Ireland and Milford Hospice, through voluntary donations.
“For After I've Gone: The Parents Edition is more than a book; it is a conduit for love, remembrance, and healing,” Joanne concluded.
