IT IS JUST over a week to go to the 67th Cappamore Show which takes place in Ballyvoreen in Limerick, once again, on Saturday, August 19.

Learning from previous years, the committee has worked on the field lay-out to improve patrons’ safety and enjoyment in viewing of competitions and competitors. And have a superb line-up for young and not so young.

In the free children’s entertainment in the heart of the field there will be face painting, pets' corner, farmyard animals, bouncy castles, Joe the Magician.

For the mums and dads there will be over 20 stands displaying goods for sale and / or information like celebrity chef Edward Hayden who will do a cookery demo in the food / craft marquee at 3pm.

A new initiative this year is The Green Village in conjunction with St Ailbe's Credit Union. This is an opportunity to showcase the Green Economy and wildlife and biodiversity champions, as well as opportunities in the sector.

Pauline Hynan's dancers will be displaying their talents from noon, along with music and dancing from Molly O’Connell, Shaun O’Dowd, John Hogan and Farmer Dan with the Barry Doyle Band.
