UISCE Éireann is working to restore water supply for customers in one county Limerick village due to a burst water main.

Crews are working to restore water supply for customers in Kilbehenny Village, Co Limerick and in north Cork areas such as Ballygiblin and parts of Mitchelstown.

Due to a burst pipe in the area, customers may be experiencing low pressure and/or interruptions to their water supply.

This is likely to impact the Michelstown area later today. It is anticipated that repairs should be completed this evening.

Speaking about the unplanned outage, water operations lead for Uisce Éireann, Niall O’Riordan, said: “Crews are working hard to repair the burst and get the water supply back as soon as possible.

“We regret any inconvenience as a result of this issue and thank the local community for their patience.”

Affected customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X (formerly Twitter) @IWCare with any queries. For updates please visit www.water.ie
