No injuries have been reported to the driver at this time

A DIGGER overturned onto its side as its driver approached a bridge in Castleconnell this Sunday.

It is understood that nobody was injured in the single vehicle traffic collision. It is not known how the incident occurred.

It appears the assistance of gardai was not required as a garda spokesperson said they hadn't received any reports "at this time".

A photo of the stricken vehicle has been widely shared on social media. There were minor traffic delays as the digger was being removed from the site of the collision.

A follow-up video of the badly damaged digger was also "forwarded many times". Due to its size and weight it had to be both pulled and pushed by two JCBs.
