Fundraising event in Limerick to go back to the '80s

THE LIMERICK Strand Hotel has announced details of a special ‘80s night to help raise funds for its nominated charity - Cliona’s Foundation.
Those who go along will be living in electric dreams in Bobby Byrne’s Pub which will host the ‘80s bash.
Cliona’s Foundation is a national charity, based in Limerick that provides financial assistance to families of children with a life-limiting illness or chronic complex care needs across Ireland to help with non-medical expenses related to caring for their child.
The charity is wholly reliant on the support of individuals and organisations to provide the support it offers to families.
On Thursday, October 12, Bobby Byrne’s Pub in the city centre will be rocking with all things ‘80s.
James Sexton, HIYA Events has kindly sponsored the nostalgic 1980s-inspired entertainment that will bring you back to the future, without a DeLorean!
Tickets for the event, which takes place from 8pm to 11.30pm are available now at eventmaster.
The cost is €12 per adult and there is a special student rate of €10 per ticket.
There will also be a raffle on the night with some great prizes to be won.
Since its launch, Cliona’s Foundation has raised in excess of €2.5 million and has supported over 1160 families across 31 Counties.
It is Brendan and Terry Ring’s intimate understanding of the stress brought upon these families that explains the diversity of expenses covered by Cliona’s Foundation – from rent, food, utility bills to transportation for chemotherapy or alternative therapies, to a treat for a sibling and even covering the cost of a child’s funeral.
