Gardai issue update after two bodies discovered in two days in Limerick

GARDAI have ruled out foul play after two bodies were discovered in two days in Limerick city.
An investigation was launched by gardai after a body of a male, aged in his 40s, was found in Steamboat Quay Car Park in the early hours of Friday morning.
Gardaí in Mayorstone Park also investigated all the circumstances in relation to the discovery of a male body, aged in his 60s, at a residence on Old Cratloe Road on Saturday morning at around 8.30am.
The Irish Independent has reported that it is believed the man lay undiscovered inside the property for a considerable period of time.
In both cases, gardai said that the post-mortems would determine the course of the investigation.
A garda spokesperson told Limerick Live this Monday that the post-mortems on both deceased men have been completed. Foul play has now been ruled out.
In relation to the man found in Steamboat Quay Car Park, a file will now be prepared for the Coroner's Court.
A garda spokesperson said a file for the Coroner's Court will also be prepared in relation to the man discovered at the Old Cratloe Road "due to the sudden death".
