Happy Christmas from all at the Limerick Leader / Limerick Live

AS 2022 draws to a close, the team at Limerick Live / Limerick Leader would like to take this opportunity to thank all our readers and advertisers for your continued support over the past year.

It has been a turbulent year globally resulting in an ever-changing landscape internationally and locally. These unstable times once again bring home to us the importance of good journalism and telling stories from the heart of our communities.

From early morning until late at night, our dedicated team work tirelessly to bring you top-quality news content from your local area, be it in the city or county.

Good journalism costs money and it's thanks to the continued support of you, our readers, along with loyal local advertisers, that we are able to bring you the stories, features, photographs and sport that matter to you, both online and in print.

We are delighted to share that more of you are turning to our award-winning website, limericklive.ie, each day for your local news, with latest figures showing it has topped 50 million page views so far this year. This is thanks to the efforts of our young, vibrant news team who are dedicated each day to bringing you fresh news stories from the place you call home.

The appetite for our print edition remains healthy and we look forward to delivering the news from Limerick as we have done for the past 133 years.

Our loyal team of local notes correspondents are on a two-week break over the holidays but we look forward to publishing their insightful offerings once again in the new year.

Our next paper is out this Wednesday, December 28 which will feature all the racing action from Greenmount Park along with coverage of the St Stephen's Day URC derby between Munster and Leinster. We’ll also be taking a look back on the big stories throughout 2022 and feature our annual quiz with a tasty prize up for grabs!.

In the meantime, don’t forget to log onto our award-winning website limericklive.ie and follow our social media accounts where we will be publishing plenty of fresh content continuously over the holiday period, along with breaking news and sport.

Christmas is the time for thanks, so, once again, on behalf of all of us in the Leader: Thank you for putting your trust in us.
