Housekeepers on the Run this weekend in Limerick!

YOU may have heard of the 1990 film Nuns on the Run, well, Cloverfield - another title of a movie coincidentally - has Housekeepers on the Run this weekend.
The new two-act farcical comedy was written by Pat O’Dea and is performed by St Patrick’s Players. The O’Dea name and St Patrick’s Players are both synonymous with drama and a laugh out loud evening is guaranteed.
They will take to the stage this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 3 - 5 in where else but The Teach in Cloverfield.
The author himself, Pat, takes up the story. He says a job is advertised for a housekeeper in the local parish, which prompts a response from three interested parties.
“Nelly is first up, a domineering personality who takes over and is shown the door in no time. Next up is Dotty, who attempts to sweeten Fr Tom with some goodies. Fr Jerry thinks the parish priest prefers Dotty to her goodies, which brings an abrupt response,” said Pat.
The wily postman Paddy is never far away and upsets the apple cart throughout the play.
“Jack is the last candidate to be interviewed, a total disaster, who even introduces cows to the presbytery!” said Pat, who doesn’t want to reveal too much ahead of the curtain call.
Among those treading the boards will be Robert O'Dea, Marie Kennedy, Jack O' Dea, Liam O'Dea, Margaret Casey and Tim O'Mahony.
“Come if you want a good laugh,” smiles Pat. Tickets are just €10 and booking is advised from 087 9397746 or 087 9421802.
