LIMERICK hurler David Reidy has lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup five times but this time he is holding the ‘Liam MacCarthy of dairy farming'.
David presented Knockainey's John Macnamara, the overall winner of the prestigious 2023 NDC and Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards with a special award, at a certificate presentation night for teenage boys and girls who successfully completed an advanced tractor driving course.
David, who hails from farming stock in Dromin-Athlacca, did the honours at the event in Kilmallock Mart.
The course’s aims were to increase the awareness of danger when operating machinery on farms for young people and to encourage safer practices on farms.
