Wet and miserable weather didn't stop large crowds from attending one of the first St Patrick's Day parades of the year in the Mid-West region.
There was plenty of Limerick interest in the Newport parade which took place in the Tipperary village on Saturday afternoon.
A number of Limerick organisations and sports clubs took part in the parade which was the first since 2019 due to Covid-19 restrictions over the past three years.
The parade started at midday at the Day Care Centre before making its way through the village.
