THERE were colourful scenes at Nicholas Street in the city at the weekend for the inaugural Christmas in Limerick Lantern Parade.
The event, which took place on Sunday night was supported by Limerick City and County Council in association with Lumen Street Theatre.
Thankfully, it was a balmy evening for the parade which featured an array of hand-crafted local lanterns with participants walking and marching to the beat of The Hit Machine Drummers.
