International innovation conference set to take place in Limerick
Thousands of delegates from the tech world to attend group's first ever conference
A NEW innovation group will hold its first ever conference in Limerick this autumn.
Futura Innovation Conference’s inaugural event will bring 1,500 participants, 400 speakers and 200 sessions across Limerick.
Hosted across a walkable network of venues in the city centre, the event will see talks on artificial intelligence, new technology and innovation, smart cities and transport, plus media, gaming plus investment and economic growth.
It takes place between Monday, October 19 and Wednesday, October 21 and will be attended by industry leaders, policy-makers, investors, founders and researchers.
Part of the reason Limerick has been picked for this event is due to its compact, walkable city centre.
Futura has links with business groups from across Ireland, including in Belfast, Cork, Derry, Galway, Newry, and Shannon.
Contributors from these groups are expected to bring sectoral expertise, institutional insight, and global connections that expand the reach and relevance of the experience.
“Innovation today rarely happens within a single discipline,” said Chris Valentine, producer of Futura Innovation Conference.
“Futura is designed to convene the right mix of people, connecting industry, policy, and capital in ways that enable ideas to move beyond discussion and into real-world impact,” he added.
A series of speakers have already been confirmed from a variety of different sectors.
In that number is Mayor John Moran, and details of further speakers are set to follow.
Registration is now open, and opportunities remain for speakers, partners, and sponsors to participate in the event
