Land deal near Limerick village revealed

COUNCILLORS have agreed to transfer a portion of land near Adare to a private party.
The 0.096 hectare portion of land was purchased in the 1970s by the local authority in the early 1970s from the Dunraven Estate.
Council says it's the front portion of a garden.
At the time of the purchase, it was to facilitate the widening of the neighbouring road.
However, the portion of land which was not used for the road will now transfer to a private party.
Members of the local authority agreed the sale, worth €20,000, at the September meeting.
