LIDL Ireland invested more than €6m in Limerick food producers last year, a new report has found.

According to the latest Supplier Impact Report, some of the retailer's key Limerick suppliers include Ballyneety-based Ishka, who supply spring water and Ballyhoura’s Applewood Farm who have been supplying a number of award-winning condiments since 2018.

Commenting on the latest report, JP Scally, CEO of Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “This record investment is a huge

driver of economic growth, and this report demonstrates just how important supplier relationships are."

With more than 400 local suppliers in the Republic of Ireland, Lidl Ireland continues to give producers in Limerick unrivalled access to local and international markets.
