Limerick band enjoy singsong with Hollywood star Paul Rudd
Hermitage Green met the actor following a sound check for their concert in Dublin last night
PROMINENT Limerick folk rock band Hermitage Green enjoyed a singsong with Hollywood actor Paul Rudd, well known for his roles in Anchorman and I Love You, Man, ahead of their headline show in the Olympia Theatre in Dublin last night.
The band posted a video of the singsong to the trad song, 'Fill to Me the Parting Glass' by Shaun Davey, as they toasted with a drink and said, 'sláinte' in unison including Mr Rudd.
Taking to Instagram to express their delight, Hermitage Green said: "We finished sound check in the Olympia yesterday and slipped out for a quiet pint of Guinness and a poitín chaser. If anyone sees Paul Rudd walking around Dublin wearing a Hermitage Green t-shirt go up and say hello to him, he’s a lovely fella. And Paul if you’re reading this - you forgot to give us the 15 euro for it."
Paul Rudd has been spotted several times in the capital city as he is filming for a new musical comedy in Dublin. 'Power Ballad' will also star Nick Jonas and Jack Reynor. The film is being directed by John Carney who also wrote and directed musical comedy-dramas Sing Street and Begin Again.
Hermitage Green will perform in Dolans Warehouse on New Year's Eve on Tuesday, December 31. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster and are priced at €38 each.
