Gareth Morrissey's drink - which he discovered when seeking a hangover cure - set to launch in Britain

A LIMERICK businessman and surfer is making waves with a unique new beverage brand he has developed set to launch in Britain.

Gareth Morrissey developed H2Go after seeking the “ultimate” cure for a hangover!

The product was developed at a Dock Road facility in the city and has evolved into a range of electrolyte drinks designed to fuel active lifestyles and support wellness.

Now Mr Morrissey, an executive MBA candidate at University of Limerick and a seasoned entrepreneur, is set to launch his product cross-channel.

Mr Morrissey, who has a full-time job in the tech sector, developed the brand himself to provide him with support to manage his busy lifestyle.

“Between catching waves, going for runs, and juggling a busy work schedule, I was constantly feeling drained,” he explained.

“I tried every hydration product on the market to stay energised, but nothing really hit the spot, especially in terms of taste.”

It was off the back of this the idea of H2Go struck.

And so he set out to create a drink that not only replenished electrolytes but also made for a tasty drink.

Countless hours of research led to the birth of H2Go's first ‘recovery’.

Mr Morrissey said while it is designed to replenish and rejuvenate tired muscles, it’s not just for athletes. The product and business name has now been registered in Britain.

But despite the international expansion, the businessman says H2Go remains committed to its Irish roots.

“We're proud to use 100% Irish suppliers for all our products and packaging. It's important to us to support local businesses and contribute to the Irish economy, in particular small firms,” he concluded.
